The first stop in our tour will be in Avila, a city that preserves the most ancient and complete fortified complex in Spain (XI century). Its 2500 m wall and its 90 fortified towers surrounds the old city, which houses great part of its monumental treasure, including a large number of Romanesque style churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the XII century.

The itinerary to follow in Avila will be the following: We'll go up to the walls of Avila, visit the outside of the Basilica of St. Vincent, visit the outside of the Cathedral of Avila walk through the convent and Museum of Santa Teresa de Jesús and finish in Avila´s main square.

At the end of the tour, we will go to Segovia, famous for its well-preserved roman aqueduct, which is 16 km long. Home of some of the kings of Castile, this city preserves one of the most important medieval group of buildings in Spain.

" Segovia worth visiting (wish tour guide could have gone slower) "
3 out of 5 stars
I loved Segovia, probably could have done without Avila. It's a full day with lots to see, but wish the guide would have allowed for more time to take pictures. She was getting frustrated at the end as we were all straying/falling behind to get pictures we wanted. Even the "free" time isn't long if you are going to get something to eat. Speaking of which, there was also a mix up with our lunch. We paid for the full lunch, but just got the tapa. We notified the company and they refunded the money we paid for lunch. Note when going on a Sunday, as we did, you can't go in all the churches as mass is taking place.
" Great guide, great weather, great cities "
5 out of 5 stars
The tour was awesome, if you like older architecture and history this is the tour for you. Our guide Lela (sp) was a peach and very informative.
" Fantastic excursion. Worth it. "
4 out of 5 stars
The monuments are simply magnificent and their history is very well explained by our tour guide Leila. But it is quite hectic and very aged should not try this. It is quite a whirlwind tour. But extremely gratifying.
" Walking the history of Spain - Stunning "
5 out of 5 stars
I had a great experience - the history of each building was explained in detail. Our tour guide was very professional - we were 4 English speaking people among the group and she took time to explain in detail. There was enough time to take photos and ask questions, the cathedrals were breathtaking. I would recommend the tour - it was indeed a good experience.
" Avila and Segovia "
5 out of 5 stars
Very beautiful towns with interesting history. The aqueduct of Segovia is most impressing. The guide presentation was very interesing and entertaining.
" Amazing medieval villages "
3 out of 5 stars
Avila and Segovia are wonderfully preserved quaint medieval towns with very beautiful city walls, churches, castles and the aqueduct. Tour guide is hard pressed to explain in Spanish and English, and in the end, failed to bring out the best of the rich history of Spain. Large group size and bilingual tour does not do justice to these 2 amazing medieval villages.
" More than expected "
5 out of 5 stars
This is a great tour - much better than it sounds in the description :) Our guide Carolina was great - friendly, enthusiastic and good at narrating in two languages. The only suggestion I have is that it is not clear that it's run by Trapsatur, which was a bit tricky for figuring out the starting point.
" Very nice tour "
4 out of 5 stars
We like this tour so much: it's amazing from historical and aesthetic point of view (both cities are worthy of visit them), and not tiring in spite if a lot of walking. Also it is good-organized: we had enough time for walking with guide and also had enough free time. Bus is comfortable, guide (Pilar) is very professional and friendly. Onle one notice: no need to overpay for tapa. It's just a one small pease of this dish and one drink. After we ate it, we went to other restorant to having a lunch :) In general, tour is amazing!
" Very Good Trip of Avila and Segovia "
4 out of 5 stars
I visited Avila and Segovia with your company on Sept 18th. It was a very memorable trip. Due to traffic issues, we started out late by 30 mins. The trip was well managed and the guide, Javier, was very good. He narrated in spanish and english equally well. Also he gave insights and references so well. I had a good time and would recommend this trip to everyone who has just a day to explore Avila and Segovia. Both the cities have very rich history and one day is really not enough.
