Cooking School For Visitors To Madrid

Description

Cooking Point is a cooking school devoted to show Spanish food and wine excellence to Madrid visitors through hands-on cooking classes and wine tastings, all of them performed in our exclusive premises located in the center of Madrid.
In our classes, participants prepare in small teams their own meal, which is enjoyed at the end of the class. All cooking is done under the guidance of our experienced chef. Instructions are in English and no cooking experience is required.
Learning not just about the Spanish food but also how to make it, offers the perfect ‘take-home’ experience that will stay with you forever.

Itinerary

Paella Cooking Class

The class starts with a tour around the Antón Martín market (200 m away, opens all days except Sundays and holidays) to buy groceries for our class, and to stop by some shops to know more about Spanish hams, olives, etc.
Back in the school, you’ll have to apply yourself to prepare your menu of:
• Gazpacho, that is a refreshing tomato-based chilled soup.
• Paella, the most typical Spanish dish, composed of rice, vegetables, chicken and seafood.
• Sangria, refreshing cocktail of wine and fruits.
During the whole activity, our chef will tell stories about Spanish food and about cooking and eating customs.
After cooking, all participants sit down around the table to enjoy the meal and to share experiences and joy with their cooking buddies.

Tapas Cooking Class

There is not a single definition of tapa, as it is anything that fits on a small plate and a typical way of eating out. In this practical lesson you’ll prepare 5 renowned traditional tapas and 1 dessert while you learn about Spanish customs around eating and drinking.

Menu is composed of:

  • Tortilla de patatas (Spanish potato omelet).
  • Chorizos a la sidra (sausage in cider sauce).
  • Gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp).
  • Patatas bravas (potatoes with spicy sauce).
  • Pa amb tomàquet (tomato bread with cured ham).
  • Dessert of crema catalana (Catalan crème).

After cooking, all participants sit down around the table to enjoy the meal and to share experiences and joy with their cooking buddies.

Cancellation

Cancellations more than a week in advance only administration costs of 15%
Cancellation between a week and 48 hours prior to departure date: 50% of the total amount
Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to departure date: 100% of the total amount
No show: no restitution

  • Class is subject to a minimum attendance of 2 people. On holidays, we’ll prepare one additional tapa, as market is closed.
